Club Rules!

  1. The committee shall have the power to enforce all rules and regulations and the committee’s decision on rule, query or other is final. In the event of an unsolved dispute the matter will be referred to A.L.S.A.A Council for arbitration.
  2. Any queries, proposals or other must be made in writing and forwarded to committee member for discussion by the committee.
  3. The club operates two nights a week: Monday and Thursday 8 – 11pm (6 courts)
  4. Peg System: Play is organised on club nights by the committee member on duty. Each Club member has a coloured peg. Yellow for ladies and blue for men. When you arrive on club nights each member places the peg on the board for selection. When play commences the first peg on the board has a pick from twelve players. The process continues until all courts are full.
  5. Clothing: Members must adhere to the clothing regulations set down by the Leagues and Cups L.B.U.I. when playing for the club in competitions. Players not complying with this rule may be asked to leave the court.
  6. Black soled shoes are not permitted in the badminton hall, or in most halls used for Leisters Leagues/Cup competitions.
  7. Shuttles are a substantial expense for the club. PLEASE be aware of this and try to treat them with care. Please return shuttles to the peg station after each game.
  8. The A.L.B.C. has an excellent reputation in the Dublin/District League and Cups. Remember to turn up on time for matches and behave in a responsible manner on and off the court. For home matches it is expected that all members of the home team provide supper.
  9. The A.L.B.C. notice board is available on club night in the hall. All information (For members only) dates, forthcoming events, etc. will be posted on the board. Your club captain will always be happy to fill you in on any information not posted.
  10. ONLY FULLY PAID UP MEMBERS ARE PERMITTED TO USE THE FACILITIES.
