Tournaments 1996/97!
1996 Airlines Shamrock Tournament.
On 23rd and 24th February the Aerlingus Badminton Club hosted the 1996 Airlines Shamrock Tournament. Greeting the participants, Chairperson Mary McLoughlin said she hoped "our overseas friends would enjoy the competitive badminton and the socialising that would take place afterwards."
Registration took place at the Forte Crest Hotel followed by a welcome buffet. The night ended with a trip to Tomango's Nightclub in Portmarnock.
Badminton took place at the main hall on Saturday from 8.30am to late and the day ended with a gala dinner and disco at the Forte Crest Hotel.
